About Tree House Wood Art

My name is Erin Kanz, and I thank you for visiting my website and viewing my creations. This is a new venture for me. I started Tree House Wood Art in 2024 with a vision of spending my days creating art. Some of my art is purely decorative: a creation to adorn a wall or shelf. Some of my creations are everyday practical objects made so they are personalized, and become art in and of themselves.

This is a second career for me. I have spent 30 years in healthcare in one capacity or another. I am still working part-time as an RN and loving every minute of it. However, now my shop is my happy place. When we built our house in 2023, we purposely added a shop area where I could have a dedicated space to work. I was amazed at how quickly this seemingly large area filled up with equipment, tools, and workbenches. I wake up in the morning and can’t wait to get to work! It’s a wonderful feeling!

My wife, Mari, is retired but enjoys substitute teaching in a special education classroom. We get to spend most of our days at home together working in the shop and on the house, because a new house is never actually complete. I thank God every day and know that I am abundantly blessed.
